Jeanneau Cup decided on ANZAC Day

From Middle Harbour Yacht Club, host of the NSW Jeanneau Cup…

MHYC’s ANZAC Day Two-Up Cup attracted a fleet of 33 yachts this year.  The Perpetual ANZAC Day Two-Up Cup Trophy will soon display the names of No Friends and Moonshadow V, the winning boats in divisions 1 and 2.

Geoff Charters’ No Friends finished ahead of Another Dilemma (Jim Curtis) and Stormaway (Jack Stening) to claim the Division 1 win.  Lloyd Bennet’s Moonshadow V beat Renaissance (Gary Carless) and Junior (Ray Carless) in Division 2.  Moonshadow V also claimed the two-handed prize.

The ANZAC Day race was also the finale for the Jeanneau Cup, a series of 3 races for Jeanneau yachts sponsored by Performance Boating and held between October and April.

The winner of the final race was Peter McLelland’s Mascap.  David Day’s Arawai took the series win 8 points clear of Mascap whose win today favoured her in the tie-break with Aurora II (Marcus Gillezeau).

The post-race presentation followed by the fun of traditional ANZAC Day Two Up in MHYC’s Harbour View Room.
