Jeanneau Shines at the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race

Congratulations to Edward Curry-Hyde and co-skipper Scott Robertson for their remarkable performance in the recent Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. In their debut at this prestigious event, the duo finished a stellar 5th in the double-handed division and claimed 3rd place overall in the Corinthian Division aboard the Jeanneau SUN FAST 3300 “Toucan.” Their tenacity and skill truly exemplified the spirit of Jeanneau.

While “Toucan” showcased impressive sailing, the competition was fierce. Fellow Jeanneau participants displayed both triumph and adversity: the Jeanneau 3300 “Transcendance” sadly broke its mast while in 2nd place, leading to an early retirement. Meanwhile, the fully crewed Jeanneau 3300 “Hip-Nautic” finished 5th in Division 5, narrowly beating “Toucan” by just 25 seconds after an intense four days at sea.

Though the race posed challenges, including the retirement of the Jeanneau 3600 “Gizmo” when skipper Meg fell ill after 1.5 days, the spirit of camaraderie and competition shone through. Congratulations once again to Edward, Scott, and all Jeanneau sailors for their outstanding performances in this iconic race.
