Swanson 36.
This iconic cruising yacht has just been listed. Known for it`s seaworthiness over many thousands of miles, the Swanson 36 is one of Australia`s great cruising yachts. This one is a 1975 model built by Ron Swanson. She has a Kubota 37HP with about 900 hours from installation 12years ago.
Four new 105amp AGM batteries were installed in October 2013 and she is fitted with a 12500 BTU Cruisair air conditioning system. Mast was overhauled and re rigged in 2013 and the five sails are described as fair to good. Electronics include two VHFs, Raymarine HD colour Radar, a collection of GPS of various types, Raymarine C95 MDF plotter and a sat alert EPIRB.
The plough anchor is a 15 kg and was new October 2014,35 m chain and operated from both bow and cockpit, also a spare Bruce anchor with 100m cahin and warp. Safety gear includes a 4 man liferaft, (needs a service) 6 x PDF inflatable jackets and 2 X vests with clip on`s. A parachute anchor and drogue is also on board. The prop is a Hydraline feathering (with spare)
The tender is a Walker Bay 8ft with sailing kit. Power by Yamaha 3hp outboard. The bimini and side covers were fitted new in 2014, and she had a hull plane and new epoxy high build applied. At the same time, a new flexible drive coupling and shaft seal were fitted.
