Vamos is an Australian registered vessel (previously raced as Shogun IV) but currently located in New Zealand under a two year temporary import certificate.
Vamos had a major refit late 2013 by McConaghy’s in Australia including topside repaint, full deck preparation and repaint with new non-skid paint, new cockpit non-skid deck tread, new aft post and corner posts, new lifeline hiking cushioning, servicing of all winches, new Rudder bearing seals, and servicing and re-clear coating of pedestal and wheels.
A full rig inspection and die-checks were also undertaken by Sydney City Rigging of the new carbon rig fitted to the boat in 2011.
Vamos also has a full inshore set up with lightweight carbon boom, inshore pushpit, new carbon STL 9m prod, large A1.5, A2 and A4, a recut Code 0, new medium jib and new Doyle Carbon Ice mainsail, making it nearly fully optimised for IRC racing and highly competitive against other TP’s.
The offshore setup includes offshore boom, option to use shorter prod, offshore pullpit and full reefing offshore mainsail in excellent condition.
The boat has been professionally maintained with full time boat captain since completion of the refit in December 2013.
