With its speed, high stability and generous interior, the versatile Sydney 36CR appeals as a comfortable and contemporary 8 berth family cruiser, and also as a competitive performer for twilight, club, regatta or offshore racing. The Sydney 36CR combines impressive design and quality construction in a yacht that is light yet strong, easy to sail yet seriously fast, stylish yet functional, and above all else, seaworthy.

This was the last Sydney 36CR built and was launched in 2008. She has been fully optimised by her experienced owner for fully crewed or short-handed offshore sailing. All controls are led to the cockpit and a twinned ‘German’ mainsheet system plus the option of asymmetric spinnakers, makes this yacht so much easier to sail fast but with less crew. This is the ideal yacht for the growing two-handed race circuit.

She has a comprehensive quality inventory including a Brookes and Gatehouse H3000 electronics package with Autopilot integrated with a Simrad GPS & Plotter, Icom HF & VHF radios. There is an impressive sail wardrobe of competitive Quantum and Doyle race sails together with delivery and cruising sails. Symmetric and Asymmetric spinnakers are carried using either a spinnaker pole or carbon assy prodder. Her dyform rigging was replaced late in 2014 when her rig was fully serviced for offshore sailing. Offered with extensive safety equipment, she was previously certified to Cat 1 Offshore.

Capable of competitive IRC and AMS racing at club and regatta level , this nimble 36-footer has also been optimised for short handed racing.  Now offered for sale in race-ready condition, your inspection is sure to impress.
