This 2009 fully IRC optimised 44′ GRP Cat 1 cruiser/racer designed by Greg Elliott, is ideal for someone wanting to step up into the sweet spot of the asymmetrical downwind IRC racers inshore and offshore, but not so keen to incur high running costs of a larger carbon fibre boat or have so many crew on hand.
Veloce has proven to be highly competitive against her bigger brothers including three wins on IRC and PHS in the Melbourne to Hobart East Coaster, as well as taking out line honours, IRC and PHS in the 2010 King of the Dewernt. Most recently Veloce also won her division in the 2013 Sydney to Hobart and even took out second place overall on IRC!
All the ‘go-fast’ sails are now included in the package including the inshore and offshore 3Di square top mainsails, a suite of 3Di headsails, 2 x stay sails and a stack of asymmetric kites such as a fractional A0, A1.5, 3 x A2, A3, 2 x A4 and an A6 that is brand new.
