The Jeanneau 45 Deck Saloon is the ultimate cruiser for baby boomers and retired couples looking to explore the Australia coast line or even across the Pacific.
Unlike most new yachts these days, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45 DS also has a dedicated and generous sized navigation table plus a huge Yanmar 75hp turbo diesel engine clocking only 112 hours.
Out in the cockpit, each partner can have their own steering wheel and electric genoa winch, while guests gouge themselves with your booze and food on your varnished cockpit table and comfy cockpit cushions. But when you have had enough off steering, you can utilise your duplicate Raymarine ST70 instruments and auto pilot to let the boat sail on its own to your chosen destination in the Raymarine E80 chartplotter.
To ensure that you get there fast, rig has also been upgraded to a performance package including dyform rigging, dynemma halyards, mylar with double tafetta sails, spinnaker and gennaker.
When you get there, simply drop the anchor from the cockpit using your remote control and chain counter, then jump off the back for a quick swim and rinse yourself off with the hot transom shower.
When night falls, you can all proceed to move down below where the saloon and galley is perfect for entertaining. It includes a large LCD TV, DVD player, heaps of bench space, a deep freezer, top & front opening fridge along with PVC upholstery just in case one of your tipsy guests happens to spill some of their red wine. Whoops!
When you have had enough grog and laughs, you can move into your own king size bed in the aft cabin which features its own ensuite including electric toilets and hot shower, while your lucky friends share a large double bed in the forward cabin also with ensuite including electric toilets and hot shower.
Needless to say it doesn’t get much better than this, unless you get lucky that night!
