Launched in 1998 she is a true classic of the modern era, a robust cruising yacht designed for long haul, short-handed, offshore and coastal passage making. She shares many of the characteristics of the famed ‘Couta boats but offers so much more with full cruising accommodation
Planked in now rare Huon Pine and featuring a traditional gaff rig and 8′ bowsprit, she employs modern sailing aids such as a furling headsail and two-speed winches making her easy to sail. Her 6ft draft long keel means she tracks true and her 75hp Yanmar diesel engine (500 hours run) with long range (400L) fuel tanks, provides ample power while an electric anchor windlass makes anchoring a breeze.
Below decks she has a roomy and traditional eight berth layout with excellent headroom throughout. There is a well appointed galley with gas stove and oven, a fully enclosed marine toilet plus a hot and cold pressure water shower. Electronics include a log and speedo, depth sounder and a VHF radio.
Regularly maintained and kept under full covers, she is presented in excellent condition and ready to cruise. This eye catching classic has many traditional features and is a tribute to the shipwright’s art. She now needs a new custodian to take her on new adventures.
