This attractive 36’ (LOA) Gaff rigged cruising yacht was designed by Tom Whitfield and built on the banks of the Yarra River at Scotch College, Melbourne, under the supervision of an expert group of boatbuilders. A tribute to the shipwright’s art, she was first launched in 1998 and is a classic of the modern era. She is a robust cruising yacht designed for long haul passage making.
Planked in Huon Pine and featuring a traditional gaff rig and 8′ bowsprit, she employs modern sailing aids such as a furling headsail and two-speed winches making her easy to sail short-handed. Her 6ft draft long keel means she tracks true and her 75hp Yanmar diesel engine (500 hours run) with long range fuel tanks, provides all the power you will need. An electric windlass makes anchoring a breeze.
Below decks she has a roomy and traditional 8 berth layout with good headroom throughout. There is a well appointed galley with gas stove and oven, fully enclosed marine toilet plus a hot and cold pressure water shower. Electronics include a log and speedo, depth sounder and a VHF radio.
Regularly and properly maintained and kept under full covers, she is presented in excellent condition and ready to cruise. This is a delightful yacht you would be proud to display at one of the Wooden Boat Festivals in Geelong or Hobart.
