Cavalier 37s deservedly enjoy a great reputation as seaworthy offshore cruiser racers. From short-handed world circumnavigations to fully crewed Sydney and Melbourne-Hobarts, the safe and comfortable reliability of this classic Laurie Davidson design is well documented.

This Cavalier 37 was built to stringent NSW Maritime survey requirements  but has only ever sailed privately since she was launched in 1990. She has made a number of blue water passages including four Around Tasmania Rallies. She is well equipped for passage making including two autopilots, life raft,  inflatable dinghy with outboard, VHF, HF and 27 Meg radios, Radar, GPS, electric anchor windlass, large spray dodger,  safety equipment, lots of spares and more.

She has had many upgrades including a new Yanmar 30hp diesel engine installed in 2012 which has only run 200 hours,   all new stainless steel standing rigging and a full mast refurbishment with repaint in 2013, a new fully battened mainsail with new boom bag and lazy jacks and a new furling genoa in 2013.Other sails include 5 headsails,  a spinnaker and storm sails.

In recent times she has been a successful mid-week racer and after 23 years of enjoyable sailing, her present owner is ready to pass her on to the next adventurer. If you are looking for a safe, solid, seagoing yacht to race or cruise with family and friends then this Cavalier 37 should be high on your list.
