Erik Stromberg, the Jeanneau Sailing Yacht Development manager, recently delivered the new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 over 80 nautical miles.
“Lots of exciting news about the Sun Odyssey 349! First, I did a 80 nautical mile delivery of the Sun Odyssey 349 from La Ciotat to Cannes in the south of France. We had a fantastic run downwind in 28-35 knots of wind. We hit 14.7 knots surfing down 3m waves and generally had a great time! We even averaged over 10 knots over the first 4 hours. All this is a 10m boat without a backstay!
Once we got to Cannes, we had 3 very good days of sailing during our press trials. We welcomed onboard 33 journalists from over 20 different countries and they were duly impressed by the speed and handling of the boat.
