Originally a stock wing-keeled 42’ Farr Phase 4, this yacht has been upgraded with a taller, more efficient rig and an improved fin and bulb keel design from David Lyons NA for superior performance on all points of sail. She was strongly built and professionally upgraded utilising a central grid structure to support keel and rig loads.
Comfortably appointed throughout, she has a beautiful shipwright crafted custom three double berth cabin interior with solid mahogany and white gloss cabinetry and is air conditioned for tropical on board (shore based) comfort. The interior has recently been fully revarnished. Amenities include Broadwater gas stove/oven, large fridge & freezer and two fully enclosed toilets with H/C showers.
The Volvo Penta DI-30 diesel engine with sail drive was installed new in 2006. It has run only low hours and has always been professionally maintained.
Sails include a fully battened mainsail with stack pack, four headsails including a brand new # 2, a Profurl Furler plus two spinnakers for added excitement downwind. Rigging has been replaced over the last two years.
There are loads of cruising extras including full tropical shade covers, bimini & spray dodger, gas BBQ, dinghy and davits, electric windlass and solar panels. Electronics comprise B & G instruments, 2 x GPS, 1 with plotter, VHF radio and 2 x autopilots.
Equipped for fast and comfortable offshore cruising, she has cruised Bass Strait, Aussie East Coast, throughout the South Pacific islands and she is an Australian Registered Ship. The yacht was anti fouled in March 2014 and a 2014 Survey Report is available.
