In April Jeanneau held a media review weekend in France to show their new models. Trade a Boat Magazine from Australia were there and journalist Kevin Green was lucky enough to be able to review the all new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 41 Deck Saloon.
His high points are the dedicated owner’s design, versatile sail-plan and the quality throughout and he comments favourably on the abundant ventilation and light, plenty of storage for prolonged cruising and how impressed he was at the performance of the yacht which managed a GPS speed of 6.7 knots in only 8.7 knots of wind using the furling Code 0. He summarises the 41DS as being a ‘sailor’s boat’.
NSW Jeanneau dealer Performance Boating has just taken delivery of the first 41DS into Australia and it will be premiering at the Sydney International Boat Show at the beginning of August.
