The Mooloolaba Yacht Brokers racing team of Dean Salthouse, Ross Smith and Ian Douglas retained the Mooloolaba Yacht Club Brokers Challenge Trophy last week. Sailed in the MYC identical Elliott 6ms and up against stiff competition, the Boys had a great afternoon of racing.
With five wins and a second from six races, the MYB team was tight and disciplined under the command of Salthouse. I guess the fact that he is a former World Champion match race winner maybe had a bit to do with it, but the crew work was (almost) faultless. With twelve spinnaker legs in three hours, and more tacks than we could count, the Hospitality of the Mooloolaba Yacht Club and series organisers was gladly received in the Clubhouse post racing.
